Mila Garcia

Little Rock Arkansas

Mila Garcia is a Junior Board Member at One Voice Arkansas and a 16-year-old student at The Baptist Preparatory School. A passionate volunteer and natural leader, Mila gives back through service hours with Easter Seals and her school community. She also babysits a young child with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), giving her a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges families face—and the importance of support and advocacy.

A dedicated athlete, Mila plays both soccer and volleyball at Baptist Prep, where she also serves as captain of the JV volleyball team. Outside of school, she plays club volleyball at 501 Volley and is president of the Baptist Prep Pickleball Club, reflecting her strong team spirit and ability to lead with heart.

Mila joined the Junior Board to be a voice for children with CAS and the families who support them. Her compassion, energy, and real-world experience bring valuable insight to the One Voice Arkansas mission. Whether she’s planning events, engaging her peers, or raising awareness, Mila is part of a new generation of advocates committed to helping every child be heard.

One Voice Arkansas is a growing hub for families, caregivers, and professionals seeking trusted, Arkansas-centered information and support around Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Our mission is to raise awareness and connect families with stories, resources, and insights specific to CAS — including early signs, evaluation, therapy options, local services, and advocacy. We aim to be an invaluable support for parents, speech-language pathologists, educators, and anyone walking alongside a child with apraxia.

Disclaimer: Consistent with our mission, One Voice Arkansas does not promote any single method, therapy, or approach. Instead, we share a wide range of experiences and resources to help families and professionals in Arkansas make informed, personalized decisions as they support children on their journey to finding their voice.
