Ava Sanders

Little Rock Arkansas

Ava Sanders is a Junior Board Member at One Voice Arkansas and a student at Little Rock Christian Academy. Diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) just before her third birthday, Ava spent years in speech therapy. Her journey has shaped her into a powerful self-advocate, determined to ensure other children with apraxia have the same opportunities for success that she’s had.

Ava is an active volunteer in her community—she works with iCan Dance to help children with and without disabilities learn the joy of movement, and she serves as social media manager for her school’s Hearts for Healing club, which creates care packages for hospitalized kids. This year, she helped recruit over 70 new members to the club.

With a personal connection to CAS and strong skills in event planning, social media, fundraising, and peer outreach, Ava brings both passion and perspective to the Junior Board. She’s using her voice—and her platform—to make sure others never feel alone on their journey.
